StreamPG Privacy Policy

StreamPG is a game played through a Twitch extension, with a website, streampg.com, for managing your character between streams. This page explains what it knows about you, why, and how to have it removed. It is operated by Epic Services, LLC ("we"). Questions or requests: twitchstreampg@gmail.com.

The short version

• If you never join the game, we store nothing about you.
• If you join, we store your Twitch user ID and your character - its level, gear, gold and so on - so your progress follows you from stream to stream.
• If you log in to the website, we keep a login session so you stay logged in, with one cookie for it. Logging out ends it.
• We never ask for your email, real name, or any payment details, and we have no ads, analytics or tracking.
• We do not sell or share your information with anyone.
• You can ask us to delete your character at any time.

What we collect, and why

When you join the game

To play, you share your Twitch identity with the extension through Twitch's own prompt. Twitch then tells us your Twitch user ID, a number that identifies your account. We use it to save your character to your account, so it is still yours next stream.

We store, against that ID:

• your character: level, experience, stat and skill points, stats, worn and carried gear, consumables, gold, and current health, mana and status in a fight;
• the weapon you chose when you joined.

Your name and profile picture

We look up your Twitch display name and profile picture from Twitch so the game can show them on stream - on the game's stage, and in chat messages from the game's bot (for example, "YourName has been downed!"). These are held only while the game is running and are not saved to our database.

When you log in to the website

The website's "Log in with Twitch" button asks Twitch who you are and nothing else - it grants the website no access to your Twitch account, and Twitch tells us only your Twitch user ID. We use it to show you your own character, and to let you change it.

To keep you logged in, we store a login session: your Twitch user ID, when the session expires, and a fingerprint of a random code kept in a cookie in your browser. The session lasts 30 days, or until you log out. The cookie is the website's only one, is used only to keep you logged in, and is not used to track you. Changes you make on the website - equipping gear, spending points - become part of your character.

What you do in the game

The actions you choose, the rooms you vote for and what you buy or sell are processed to play the game and are reflected in your character. Our server's logs record these events, with your Twitch user ID, to help us find and fix problems.

Game statistics

We record anonymous statistics about each round - how many players took part, damage dealt, monster health - to balance the game. These contain no user IDs or names.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your email address, real name, location, payment information, or your Twitch chat messages. The extension sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser; the website sets only the login cookie described above.

Who else sees it

• Viewers of the stream see your display name, profile picture and in-game actions, as part of the game being played on stream, and the game's chat messages that name you.
• Twitch provides the extension platform and your identity; its own privacy notice covers what Twitch does.
• Our hosting provider runs the server that stores the game's data, and processes it only to provide that service.

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Your character is kept while the game is running, so your progress is there when you return. Website login sessions last 30 days, or until you log out. Server logs are kept for a short period for troubleshooting and then removed. Nightly backups of the game's data are kept for 14 days. While the game is in development, we may reset all characters, which removes them.

Deleting your data

Email twitchstreampg@gmail.com from any address, including your Twitch username, and ask for your character to be deleted. We will delete it, along with any website login sessions, within 30 days and confirm when it is done. Copies in our backups are removed as those backups expire, within a further 14 days.

You can also stop sharing your identity with the extension at any time from your Twitch settings, under Connections. After that we receive nothing new about you.

Security

All traffic between the extension and our server is encrypted. Requests are verified with Twitch's signed tokens, so nobody can act as you. Access to the server is limited to its operator.

Children

Twitch requires users to be at least 13. StreamPG is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used it, contact us and we will delete their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced on stream.
